The Apostle of Tennessee: The Indefatigable Life and Ministry of Father Aloysius Orengo is scheduled to be published by Vanderbilt University Press in the summer of 2026. The book tells the story of Fr. James Aloysius “Luigi/Louis” Orengo, O.P., an Italian immigrant and Dominican missionary priest who served Middle and West Tennessee for 25 years from 1848-1873.
