Legendary country music songwriter Harlan Howard is credited with saying that all you need to write a good country song is “three chords and the truth.” Someone else said, and I’m paraphrasing here, “if you’re going to steal, steal from the best.” So for a blog about biking and living in Nashville, “Two Wheels and the Truth” made perfect sense.
Posts on “Two Wheels and the Truth” will be loosely categorized. Here’s what I’m thinking so far.
Stories and observations from being out there on the road in Nashville, whether commuting during the week, or road biking on the weekends. These may tend to get philosophical every now and then.
Fairly self-explanatory. Posts about books. Sometimes with some biking thrown in.
I’ve traveled quite a bit in the last few years on biking excursions. I’ve been to Italy twice specifically to bike (at the Italian Cycling Center and the Garda Bike Hotel), traveled to New York City to ride in the Five Boro Bike Tour and to Miami for the Giro D’Italia Gran Fondo. I also try to incorporate cycling into trips and vacations whenever I can. Which has meant, on different occasions, borrowing a bike in Los Angeles to pedal up Nichols Canyon; taking advantage of the CitiBike sharing program in New York City; taking my bike with me to Missouri to cycle around the Bootheel, to Florida to traverse 30A and to New Jersey to try out the Henry Hudson Bike Trail. “Destinations” are posts about these trips.
Not about books. Not about biking. About something else.
Thanks for reading.
